Placement

Where it hangs decides whether it fits

Carl’s Place mounts the APOGEE 9–10 ft from ground level and 21–25 inches in front of the tee, with a 14 ft swing diameter and the golfer 10–12 ft from the screen. TruGolf’s manual sets the forward distance by ceiling height — 21 inches at 108–110 inches of ceiling, rising an inch per step to 25 inches at 118–120 — and its room guide asks for 15 ft of width, 10 ft of height and 20 ft of depth.

  • Body. 38″ W × 5½″ H × 8″ D; approximately 22 lb (TruGolf).
  • Hitting zone. Tee box 10″ wide × 8″ deep (TruGolf manual).
  • Handedness. TruGolf: the mounting position makes play between right- and left-handed golfers seamless.
  • Computer. A PC is required; TruGolf publishes minimum specifications for E6 CONNECT and E6 APEX.

What it measures

Cameras, zone, and what ships in the box

What separates one launch monitor from another is what it can see, from where, and what it comes with.

Tracking

Overhead camera unit with instant feedback, slow-motion club-at-impact replay, laser ball positioning and voice control (Carl’s Place program sheet).

The hitting zone

Tee box 10″ wide × 8″ deep (TruGolf manual). Where the ball may sit is what decides whether a centered mat serves two golfers without moving anything.

Software — in the box, and compatible

One year of E6 APEX at the Enjoy tier (Carl’s Place program sheet). TruGolf publishes E6 by TruGolf as the APOGEE’s software — an ENJOY subscription ships with it — and names no third-party title for it.

Whose numbers these are

Precision does not manufacture this unit and does not test it. Every figure on this page is TruGolf’s or Carl’s Place’s, quoted from their published pages; where the two disagree the page says which it uses, and where neither publishes a figure it is stated as unknown rather than guessed.

The ceiling decides this unit before anything else does.

Does your ceiling clear it?

Enter the room at its lowest point and the Space Calculator will place the bracket, the projector and the enclosure and tell you what is left.
