Placement
A camera on the ceiling, a bay that already exists
TruGolf mounts the camera to the ceiling so the play area stays clear, and publishes a minimum room of 12 feet wide, 15 feet deep and 10 feet high. Carl’s adds the one caution that matters in a golf room: the camera can interfere with an overhead golf launch monitor, and TruGolf should be asked how to position the two together before both go on the ceiling.
- Mount. To the ceiling, on the light track or the universal projector mount in the box (Carl’s).
- Room. 12 ft W × 15 ft D × 10 ft H minimum (TruGolf).
- With a launch monitor. Possible interference with an overhead unit — Carl’s says to contact the manufacturer for dual-device positioning. A side-placed or radar launch monitor avoids the question.
- Cables. A 32 ft USB 3.0 fiber cable and a 30 ft extension cord are in the box, which is the run from a ceiling camera to the PC.
- Commercial. TruGolf names an E6 Connect Commercial Suite with league management and usage tracking for operators.
