PIG-ST-SG3-5702

SurfThing’s simulator desktop, supplied through Carl’s Place, in two graphics tiers: the SG3-5702 with an RTX 5070 and the SG3-5702Ti with an RTX 5070 Ti. Carl’s states the difference plainly — the 5070 runs E6 Connect and GSPro at 4K, the 5070 Ti runs every title at 4K. Both carry an Intel Core Ultra 5 225F, 32 GB of DDR5 and a 2 TB drive. Two-year SurfThing warranty.

Specification

Two tiers, one difference

SurfThing builds both tiers on the same board, processor, memory, storage and 1000 W supply; the graphics card is the only line that changes. Carl’s publishes which titles each tier runs at 4K, and that is the whole basis for choosing.

  • SG3-5702. NVIDIA RTX 5070 — 4K in E6 Connect and GSPro (Carl’s).
  • SG3-5702Ti. NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti — 4K in every title Carl’s lists, E6, GSPro, FSX Play and TrackMan included.
  • Both. Intel Core Ultra 5 225F on a dual-fan air cooler · 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz · 2 TB NVMe SSD · 1000 W Gold · Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E · Windows 11 Home.
  • Case. 8.07″ W × 14.29″ H × 17.8″ D — it needs a shelf or floor space near the launch monitor’s cable run, not clearance.
  • Display. Not included; SurfThing’s touchscreens are listed separately, as is the long-run HDMI cable to the projector.

Every figure is Carl’s Place’s SurfThing listing or SurfThing’s own page; the 4K statements are Carl’s. Simulation titles are licensed from their publishers.

What matters in a golf room

Three things the PC decides

The launch monitor measures the shot; the PC draws it. Resolution, lag and the title you can run all sit on this box.

Resolution

4K at the projector is a graphics-card question. Carl’s draws the line between the two tiers by title: the 5070 for E6 and GSPro, the 5070 Ti for everything.

Headroom

32 GB of DDR5 and a 2 TB drive, per SurfThing — room for the simulation software, its course libraries and the swing video a camera unit records.

Connections

Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 on board; a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter in the box. The cable to a ceiling projector is a separate, long-run item.

Whose numbers these are

Precision does not build this computer and does not test it. Every figure on this page is SurfThing’s or Carl’s Place’s, quoted from their published pages.

The launch monitor measures the shot. The PC decides what you see of it.

Which launch monitor is the PC driving?

The PC follows the launch monitor and the software it runs. Enter the room in the Space Calculator and the build names both.
