Placement

Where it hangs decides whether it fits

Carl’s Place mounts the N1 9–10 ft above the hitting surface and 2 ft in front of the hitting area; with the golfer 10 ft from the screen, that places the unit about 8 ft from it. NVISAGE publishes the same 9–10 ft figure. Room width and depth are not published; the Space Calculator applies Carl’s general room guide. The N1 reads marked balls.

  • Body. 21.8″ L × 6.9″ W × 4.9″ H (Carl’s Place specification). NVISAGE’s manual and Carl’s page give different weights, so none is stated.
  • Hitting zone. 24″ deep × 20″ wide (NVISAGE product page; the manual gives 16″ × 20″).
  • Handedness. Not published by NVISAGE for this unit.
  • Computer. A Windows PC is required — Intel i5 8400, 8 GB, GTX 1060, Windows 10 64-bit, Ethernet; not compatible with macOS (NVISAGE).

What it measures

Cameras, zone, and what ships in the box

What separates one launch monitor from another is what it can see, from where, and what it comes with.

Tracking

Two 2,000-frames-per-second cameras; eight data parameters; marked balls (Carl’s Place; NVISAGE).

The hitting zone

24″ deep × 20″ wide (NVISAGE product page; the manual gives 16″ × 20″). Where the ball may sit is what decides whether a centered mat serves two golfers without moving anything.

Software — in the box, and compatible

None bundled (NVISAGE product page). NVISAGE names GSPro and E6 Connect as the third-party titles the N1 integrates with; each is licensed from its publisher.

Whose numbers these are

Precision does not manufacture this unit and does not test it. Every figure on this page is NVISAGE’s or Carl’s Place’s, quoted from their published pages; where the two disagree the page says which it uses, and where neither publishes a figure it is stated as unknown rather than guessed.

The ceiling decides this unit before anything else does.

Does your ceiling clear it?

Enter the room at its lowest point and the Space Calculator will place the bracket, the projector and the enclosure and tell you what is left.
