Placement

Where it hangs decides whether it fits

A ceiling-mounted unit. Carl’s Place and Laon publish a floor-to-ceiling height of 106–122 inches, at least 120 inches from the impact screen to the hitting zone, and a recommended room width of 213 inches. Laon does not publish the unit’s forward offset from the tee, its dimensions or its weight; the Space Calculator carries the mount height and states the rest as unknown.

Body. Not published by Laon.
Hitting zone. 31″ × 24″ (Carl’s Place program sheet; Laon’s page gives both 31″ × 21″ and 31″ × 24″).
Handedness. Laon: supports both left- and right-handed players.
Computer. A Windows 10 64-bit PC with 16 GB or more is required (Laon).

What it measures

Cameras, zone, and what ships in the box

What separates one launch monitor from another is what it can see, from where, and what it comes with.

Tracking

Overhead sensor camera; 23 ball and club metrics; no ball or club stickers; no subscription (Carl’s Place program sheet; Laon).

The hitting zone

31″ × 24″ (Carl’s Place program sheet; Laon’s page gives both 31″ × 21″ and 31″ × 24″). Where the ball may sit is what decides whether a centered mat serves two golfers without moving anything.

Software — in the box, and compatible

None bundled (Laon product page). Laon names E6 Connect, E6 Apex and GSPro as the third-party simulators the VTrack integrates with; each is licensed from its publisher.

Whose numbers these are

Precision does not manufacture this unit and does not test it. Every figure on this page is Laon Swingcraft’s or Carl’s Place’s, quoted from their published pages; where the two disagree the page says which it uses, and where neither publishes a figure it is stated as unknown rather than guessed.
