What it does
Closing the fourth wall
An enclosure blocks light on three sides. The back cover is the fourth.
Light in, light out
The panel hangs across the open end of the bay and keeps the room’s light off the screen and the projector’s light in the bay — the picture reads as a picture, not a bright rectangle in a lit room.
Sized to the enclosure
Six sizes, one per DIY opening. The option here is the enclosure size, in Carl’s own tokens, so an 8 × 10.5 cover goes on an 8 × 10.5 enclosure and nothing else.
How it fits
Carl’s manual: the panel’s hook-and-loop straps wrap the bottom pipe of its own frame, strips facing into the enclosure; the frame joins the enclosure through the fittings in the kit. Pipe is sold separately or taken as Carl’s pre-cut kit.
